The Department of Information Science & Engineering at Bangalore Technological Institute is a newly approved programme for the academic year 2025-26, with an AICTE-approved intake of 30 seats, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. Information Science & Engineering is a well-established VTU branch that combines computer science, information systems, software engineering, databases, networking and information security,equipping graduates to manage, secure and engineer the information infrastructure that powers modern organisations.

Graduates of the ISE programme will be able to design and implement information systems and databases; develop secure, scalable software applications; apply networking and security principles to protect information assets; manage IT projects effectively; and contribute as responsible, adaptable technology professionals in the information economy.
