The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Bangalore Technological Institute offers a comprehensive four-year B.E. programme affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and approved by AICTE with an intake of 180 seats. The programme equips students with a strong foundation in programming, algorithms, databases, networking, artificial intelligence and software engineering,preparing them for careers in software development, system design, data engineering and research.

Graduates of the CSE programme will be able to apply knowledge of computing fundamentals to design, build and evaluate software systems; work effectively in teams; communicate technical ideas clearly; and engage in lifelong professional development aligned with industry and societal needs.
Our AURA regularly organizes technical events, workshops, competitions, seminars, and other professional activities to enhance students' technical and leadership skills.
Our department actively participates in the activities of the Computer Society of India (CSI). Currently, 170 students and 7 faculty/staff members are registered CSI members, reflecting the department's commitment to professional development, technical excellence, and engagement with the computing community.
The NSS unit organizes the "Abhiyan" initiative to promote environmental protection and social responsibility among students. This program focuses on creating awareness about nature conservation through activities such as tree plantation drives, campus cleanliness campaigns, waste management, and plastic-free awareness programs. The Abhiyan initiative encourages students to actively participate in building a sustainable environment while developing teamwork, leadership, and civic responsibility. It aims to inspire students to contribute towards a cleaner, greener, and more responsible society.
