The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Bangalore Technological Institute offers a comprehensive four-year B.E. programme affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and approved by AICTE with an intake of 180 seats. Dr. D Jerline Sheebha Anni Professor & Head, CSE Ph.D. (VIT Vellore, 2019) | M.Tech, B.E. — Anna University 19 years (18 Teaching + 1 Industry) of teaching experience

Professor & Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering with 19 years of experience. Specialises in Computer Networks, Network Security, and Machine Learning. Ph.D. from VIT Vellore University (2019); M.Tech and B.E. from Anna University. Has published 11 international journal papers and 11 conference papers (6 national, 5 international), filed 1 patent, and guided 15 UG and 5 PG projects. Teaches Computer Networks, Software Engineering, Cryptography, and Network Security. Member of IEEE, CSI, and ISTE. Recipient of the Best Research Award at NESIN 2020 and the Academic Excellence Award from SAI RAM Groups (2010–11).

Our AURA regularly organizes technical events, workshops, competitions, seminars, and other professional activities to enhance students' technical and leadership skills.

Our department actively participates in the activities of the Computer Society of India (CSI). Currently, 170 students and 7 faculty/staff members are registered CSI members, reflecting the department's commitment to professional development, technical excellence, and engagement with the computing community.

NSS – Abhiyan (Protect Nature)

The NSS unit organizes the "Abhiyan" initiative to promote environmental protection and social responsibility among students. This program focuses on creating awareness about nature conservation through activities such as tree plantation drives, campus cleanliness campaigns, waste management, and plastic-free awareness programs. The Abhiyan initiative encourages students to actively participate in building a sustainable environment while developing teamwork, leadership, and civic responsibility. It aims to inspire students to contribute towards a cleaner, greener, and more responsible society.
